Description
Rare Cold War Soviet KGB Spy Camera Purse Bag.This KGB concealed spy camera was used from late 1950's to Early 1970's or possibly 80's. I estimate this example to be from the 1960's. Fitted with the F-21 Ajax subminiature camera, that used 21mm film cut from 35mm. It took pictures by pressing on the side of the leather purse. Inside a handle-leaver plate opens the square cut out and presses the shutter release at the same time. This example has the KGB seral numbers and an advanced F-stop selector f16,f2.8 and f5.6. The camera is untested, but can be removed and reinstalled. There are two cloth pieces installed on ether side to conceal the mechanism. The spy purse has an ID that came with it originally. Don't know for sure if it was an agent posing as an innocent worker perhaps?
Measures 11.5 inches tall from handle 7.25 wide and 2.5 inches wide.
This is a great and rare example of cold-war KGB spy and espionage equipment.
