19th Century museum quality, very rare, 5 blade handheld instrument for blood letting tool. All research has not provided another 5 blade example.
The manufacturer dates back to the late 1700's but there is no statement as to date of origin or condition.
The pictures show the actual fleam as it was found in 1980. Is storage since, it has not been cleaned or altered. There are no marking other than the name "PROCTOR" on the brass case.
