Up for bids is a vintage, new in box, NOS, Sylvania type 83 rectifier tube.
Type 83 is a full wave rectifier tube commonly associated with use in Hickok manufactured and/or Hickok designed tube testers including the TV-7, its variants and the well-known Hickok 530, 600, 800 and 6000 series of tube testers.
The box is in rough shape but the tube looks and tests great.  It has hanging filaments for low noise potential, extra strong dual center support rods, a "D"/[] shaped bottom getter and smooth black plates.
It was
tested for emission, shorts and noise on my Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7/U tube tester using a digital meter upgrade for greater accuracy.
The TV-7/U minimum recommended value (65%) for each plate of the type 83 tube is 40.
