Description
My Gene doll is just modeling, and is not included. No doll, no stand, no jewelry nor any shoes are included. The offering is for the lounging/hostess pajamas and cocoon robe outfit only. These Lounging Pajamas and Cocoon Robe were designed to fit any vinyl or resin 16 inch Fashion Doll such as Gene, Sybarites, and slender Tonner fashion doll bodies like Antoinette and Cami. This ensemble will also fit a Numina, a Jamieshow, just about any of the 16" fashion dolls. The pants are cut long and I have put platform shoes on the Gene doll to compensate. This will also fit a Tonner RTB 101 body, see pictures.
Offered here is a four piece set of lounge wear, comprised of a sheer chiffon robe, a viscose knit shell, wide legged trousers, and a narrow belt in a brilliant yellow. Both pajama pieces are lined with white power net.
The applied beading on the robe lapels, center back, and sleeve cuffs is sequins, faceted beads, tiny glass beads. The belt is edged with beads as well.
Here are the design details.
The chiffon cocoon coat in shades of predominantly blue and yellow, was inspired by the late designer Patrick Kelly's One Seam Coat, only this is doll size and has been modified by the addition of facings, cuffs, sleeve pleats, beading and a stitched center back pleat. The elaborate draping will fall into roughly the same pleats, no matter how the doll is posed.
The shell is darted and semi-fitted, fully lined in white power net, as are the trousers. It snaps closed in back.
The belt is a simple tie belt style, finished by matching applied beading at the ends.
The matching yellow knit trousers are roomy enough to tuck in the shell. They can be worn high-waisted and belted, if you like. The trousers are lined in white power net and snap closed in back.
