with images from the murals painted
by Maynard Dixon and his wife Edith Hamlin.
Edith Hamlin and Maynard Dixon are 20th-century American artists whose body of work focused on the American West.  Best know for their Public Works of Art Project, Federal Art Project and the Section of Painting and Sculpture during the Great Depression era in the United States and for the decorative style paintings of the Arizona desert.
The Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Cottage complex is generally recognized as a collaboration between Frank Lloyd Wright and Albert Chase McArthur, a former draftsman in Wright’s Oak Park studio.
“The building is iconic and known for its Wright influences, so staying true to this without copying or emulating it was important to us,”
says PHX Architecture’s Erik Peterson, the architect who led the 2021 renovation project.
“Everything new was done with an organic inspiration, but also done with today’s cutting-edge technology. That is how Wright did design in his day….Nothing is timid, but instead bold.”  -

The Large plate is 11 1/8 inch wide and weighs 1.87 pounds. These are heavy duty restaurant ware Shenango is famous for making.
All china is in very good condition / never used.  See pictures.
