ANTIQUE SCHEERER N.Y. OPERATIVE MEDICAL BONE SAW AMPUTATION SET 1926
Antique, dated June 15, 1926.....KNY SCHEERER CORP., NEW YORK Operative Medical Bone Saw/Amputation Set.  Saw presented in its original wood storage box with leather handle.  Set includes three circular saw bits in graduated sizes, two wrench type tools, foot pedal and cord.  Scheerer Corp. produced all types of surgical tools for the medical field.  The last photo shows a similar saw by the Scheerer Corp.  The original Scheerer catalog (over 2000 pages) can be viewed in its entirety online.
Box with wood divider measures 18" x 9" x 6 3/4".  It retains the original manufacturer decal on lid.  Drill measures 11.5" and has
not
been tested due to the cord being deteriorated from age.  The cord is in one piece and saw connector and plug remain intact.
The wood box shows typical age wear with surface scratches as shown.  All of the hardware is original and intact.  There is no key.  The leather handle is worn and I would
not
recommend using it to carry the box.
Highly cross-collectible, this rare find runs the gamut of collectibility.
