Antique Medical 1860s Doctors Obstetrical Probe Instrument Silver & Ebony

Description

A beautiful antique medical surgeons gynecological probing sound instrument.  Silver finish and ebony wood handle signed EYERS.  Excellent condition, very little silver wear.  Wonderful original patina to the ebony wood.  Attached with 2 silver pins.  Probe is marked 1 1/2  2 1/2  3 1/2  4 1/2  5 1/2  6 1/2  7 1/2  8 1/2.  Excellent condition, no cracks or chips to wood.  Little or no wear brassing to silver. 11 1/2" long.  A nice early example.  Please e-mail with questions.  Thanks and good luck!
